XMAS CTD
The weather and the conditions did their best to dampen the spirits of those who attended the Xmas CTD but our clients are made of sterner stuff!
The morning session was dominated by some light hearted casting and fishing competition.
Furthest cast went to John A, in an event he has been practicing for all year!
Most accurate casting prizewinner was newcomer Phil with an awesome display of precision casting that suggests he’s held a rod in a former life.
Not to be outdone by his father in law John A, Steve C scooped the the biggest fish prize with his secret bloodworm pattern.
Shaun and Becky provided a very welcome festive lunch whilst Jules treated us to a medley of yuletide hits including Little Donkey, on her Cornet. Only at Chirk Fishery folks!
After the morning’s frivolity, the afternoon session was tough. The fish obviously hadn’t received their invitations as very few made an appearance. Still, we fished until the darkness engulfed us all!
Thanks to the other attendees, John F, Jon D, Rubber hooks Rod, John M and Dave P for braving the conditions. And thanks to EVERYONE who has supported the Heyday Fly Fishing School this year.
