This months CTD numbers were severely Depleted due to Christmas, illness (get well soon Guy) and of course the hideous weather! We considered cancelling but many of us were going stir crazy and chomping at the bit to get out and catch some fish.
So rather than the planned Xmas festivities, we just fished all day. With only a short break for a very welcome & warming Stew, we made the best of the fast fading daylight and the surprisingly calm but wet conditions.
As you would expect of anglers with this level of skill and dedication, all caught fish so it was a fitting end to the year.
We will now take a short seasonal break but The Chirk Training Days will resume again in March. Please watch the blog for information on future dates.
Thanks to all who supported us in 2015 and made these days so successful and a special thanks to Shaun, Becky and Jules at Chirk Fishery for looking after us so well.
We will of course be Grayling fishing through the winter and as soon as the weather and river conditions allow we’ll be able to offer days aimed at all skill levels from beginners to advanced. Again, watch the website and your inbox for future events or contact us directly with your requirements.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from HeyDay Fly Fishing!
Trev & Steve.
