Another good turn out for the Day and a cracking bunch of upbeat guys, a fifty fifty split of relatively new and experienced Fly Fishers split nicely into two groups. The experienced boys were perfecting Casts during the mornings Casting Tuition, while the less experienced were proving a little troublesome, one particular participant when asked to stop his rod around the 10 O’clock position rather than 9 O’clock replied “don’t worry I’ll be fine when the clocks go back” you know who you are! The banter was great and the group did exceptionally well mastering the Roll Cast, Overhead Cast and Roll Cast pick up before Lunch.

A slight nip in the air and leaves on the turn made a Home Made Soup (made from 100% Home Grown Vegetables) and Chunky French Stick, Pork Pie and Pickle very welcome indeed. Massive thanks to Shaun & Becky for a great spread as always.

All was going well…………that was until Flies were attached to leaders and the fishing commenced, ¬†Fish were seen feeding on what seemed to be an abundance of natural insects, however they were proving very difficult to connect with for most with the exception of a few who’s experience shone through.

The next tuition Day is Sunday 15th November.
